HUNGER & POVERTY GRANTS
The Hunger & Poverty Grant Program is funded through the Advance Special Appalachian Ministry Network (#982041). This Advance  supports the Hunger & Poverty Grant Program and the opperation of UMAMN and our education and advocacy ministries. The goals of the program are to to assist with and encourage the development of new ministries or expansion of current ministries that are working to eradicating hunger and poverty in Appalachia and to help meet the emergency needs of ongoing ministries dealing with mounting client populations and decreasing or diminishing resources. UMAMN strives to award up to 15 grants of $2,500 per year, but we need your help. In 2014, UMAMN was able to award 11 grants totaling $17,500 to ministries across Appalachia. We need support from local churches, UMW groups, and other partners to reach the annual of goal of $37,500 to award through the grant program. You or your group may support UMAMN through the Advance Special and evrey penny you send will go directly to UMAMN. Just put it in an envelope mark for "Advance Special Appalachian Ministry Network (#982041)." The church treasurer will know what to do with it. You may also support UMAMN by sending contributions to UMAMN Office 301 North Fifth Street Steubenville, OH  43952 Making checks payable to UMAMN Hunger and Poverty.
